Are you thinking about going skiing in the USA? Find out about three of the best states for this winter sport here.

You can really have any type of holiday that you could dream of in the USA. No matter the state you go to, there will be some brilliant activities for you to jump on. If you fancy hitting the slopes and trying out some skiing, here are the best states to go to in the continental USA!

Colorado

One of the best places by far to go skiing in the USA is Colorado. This state has the Rocky Mountains cutting straight through it, and this means that there are plenty of resorts and slopes for skiers to head to. The ski season here usually runs from October to April – a much longer run than you will find in other states – and things tend to really start getting busy around November.

The world-famous Aspen resort is in Colorado. Numerous famous faces head to Aspen each year to get away from it all and enjoy the ski slopes. You could also try out resorts like Breckenridge or Telluride if you want to avoid some of the hustle and bustle of Aspen. There are slopes everywhere, and plenty of places for you to relax around them!

Nevada

Though you might associate Nevada with the desert, there are some pretty high mountains there too, and this means that there are ski slopes! While some might prefer to look at the best online slots NetBet has to offer rather than head down to Las Vegas, Sin City is never too far away for skiers who want a holiday that offers them everything.

One of the best places to stay in Nevada is the Lee Canyon Resort. It has slopes for people of all abilities and even gives out free lessons to those who might be skiing for the first time.

Utah

If you don’t want to go to Colorado but still want to find some amazing slopes, you need to head into Utah. This state has some challenging terrain but some incredible slopes and snow to help create the perfect conditions for skiers. They also offer two ski-only resorts where snowboarders are banned. If you want to hit perfect slopes that have not been carved up by snowboarders, then this might be a great destination for you.

Many of the best resorts are close together in Utah, so consider renting somewhere just outside. That way, you can wake up and have your pick of the slopes each morning – potentially heading down somewhere new each day.

If you are an avid skier, you don’t have to head up to Canada or across to Europe to experience some great slopes. There are plenty of amazing places right in the USA that you can go to if you need a ski holiday. Colorado, Nevada, and Utah are some of the best places to go skiing, but there are plenty of other corners where you can hit the slopes. There could even be some fantastic hidden slopes right around the corner from where you live!
