The City of Waterville is accepting applications for the position of Head Nordic Ski Coach/Program Director at the Quarry Road Trails. This position will work under the direction of the Director of Parks & Recreation. The successful candidate will provide leadership, administrative, and coaching continuity across the club’s cross-country skiing programs, including primary coaching responsibility for the club’s high school (U16/U18/U20) program. This position will administer and supervise other programs, including the volunteer-led, Alpine learn-to-ski program and the summer trail running race series. This position will also be responsible for organizing and executing Nordic ski races and other races and events, and for enhancing the quality, diversity, and volume of four-season programming available at Quarry Road Trails.
The successful candidate must hold a bachelors’ degree and have experience as either a nationally competitive skier or coach of nationally competitive skiers.
