Vermont Academy is nestled on four hundred fifty acres at the foothills of the Green Mountains in Saxtons River, Vermont, and has provided a supportive community and close personal attention to its students for 146 years.

Vermont Academy is accepting applications for Head Coach of our Nordic Ski Program. The Nordic Ski Program has been a tradition at Vermont Academy since its inception. The winter season is a long one in Vermont, and our 20 kilometers of national-level cross-country trails offer everything our Nordic athletes need, including snowmaking equipment and state-of-the-art grooming equipment.

The goal of the Vermont Academy Nordic program is to develop high-level skiers. Our varsity team competes in the Lakes Region and many members have recently participated in New England JOQ and NEPSAC races. Our JV Nordic team focuses on introducing novice skiers to the exciting aspects of the sport. All team members receive customized instruction and the opportunity to progress as far and quickly as they want. The Vermont Academy Nordic program is sponsored by Salomon Skis, Boots, and Bindings, V2 Jenex Roller Skis, and Dominator Ski Wax.

Vermont Academy’s Nordic Coach must possess a strong ethical coaching philosophy with an emphasis on player development and positive team culture and contribution to campus wide community engagement.

Vermont Academy is open to part time winter seasonal candidates as well as full time applicants. In addition to coaching, a full time candidate can expect to be a part of the residential life program, including participating in dorm coverage and weekend activities.
