The Sandpoint Nordic Club is a non-profit organization located in Sandpoint, ID. The SNC provides a variety of programs for cross-country skiing; adult and youth clinics, competitions and social events. The SNC also operates a ski rental program in Pine Street Woods, Sandpoint’s public trail system.
Position: Head Nordic Race Team Coach

Employment period: From start date through February, depending on snow conditions
Compensation: $30/hr
Estimated Hours: 7-30 hours/week depending on race schedule
Responsibilites:
Coach Race Team (~5 athletes) in all aspects of ski training and competition.
Work with assistant coaches to develop training plans and race schedule.
Assist Executive Director and Race Team Coordinator with travel plans to local races (IMD division).
Qualifications:
Skills working with all ages of athletes and families.
Ability to work as part of a team and be productive when unsupervised
Ability to work safely in all snow surface conditions, weather and terrain.
Proven organizational, communication and writing skills
Computer competency – word processing, spreadsheets, email and internet
Completion of background screening and Safesport
