Eastern Sierra Nordic Ski Seeks Development Team Coach

2022-2023 Development Team Coach

Eastern Sierra Nordic Ski Association is a non-profit organization based in Mammoth Lakes, California. The club has been growing rapidly and is in need of a Development Coach to further develop the program. The position is from June to April, with additional employment opportunities at Tamarack Cross-Country Ski available. The Eastern Sierra and Mammoth offers a long ski season, high quality dryland training, and world renowned outdoor recreation opportunities.

Responsibilities and requirements include:

• Work with the Head Coach to develop a training plan for the Devo athletes
• Facilitate Devo Team practices
• Attend all club and school races
• Be willing to attend Far West events as a coach if selected
• Assist ESNSA in fundraising efforts
• Organize and attend the June Lake Summer Camp
• Hold at least USSA Level 100 Certification (or equivalent)
• Have working knowledge of current ski techniques and training strategies
