Hilde Gjermundshaug Pedersen (40) was placed on the Norwegian second team in Sunday’s World Cup sprint relay in Bern. She was not happy with that and is counting on being back on the first team with Bjorgen next weekend, reports Norwegian newspaper VG ( http://www.vg.no/pub/vgart.hbs?artid=257495 )
 has experimented enough, said Gjermundshaug after the race.</p>
<p>She was talking about the women’s coach Svein Tore Samdal, which reasoned for kicking Pedersen off the team that he wanted to try Ella Gjomle together with Marit Bjorgen.</p>
<p>– I didn’t think that Ella showed all that much, and hope to ski with Bjorgen next time. I did what I could to prove that I should be on the first team, said Hilde.</p>
<p>She and Bjorgen won all sprint relays they participated in together last season.</p>
<p>Gjermundshaug had the fastest leg times on two out of the three legs she skied on Sunday. She and Skofterud still ended up in (only) sixth place. Skofterud was unlucky and fell in both the semifinal and in the final.</p>
<p>There is a new sprint relay already this weekend, in Asiago, Italy.</p>
<p>– We have to experiment a little. We have to be prepared for illness and out-of shape situations at Worlds, said coach Samdal.</p>
