Next up at the 2007 Nordic World Championships is the Team Sprint event. The two-skier sprint begins at 2 a.m. (ET) at the Dome. For the U.S., the two cross country teams will be Andrew Newell (Shaftsbury, VT) and Torin Koos (Leavenworth, WA) in the men's event, and Kikkan Randall (Anchorage, AK) paired with Laura Valaas (Wenatchee, WA) in the women's race.

The Team Sprint this year is skate technique. Each skier will complete 3 laps of a 1.4 km loop, tagging back and forth for a total of 6 laps. In less than 20 minutes, the race will be over!

The reigning champions in this event (from the 2006 Torino Olympics) were Sweden in both men's and women's races.

Men's favorites for gold include Sweden and Norway.
Women's favorites for gold include Sweden, Finland, Norway, and Germany.
