Randall gets first US victory since 1983

Kikkan Randall was born with a familial connection to the Olympics. An aunt and an uncle, Betsy Haines and Chris Haines, both competed in the winter games as cross country skiers. That connection continues today and proved visually profound following Randall's historic cross country World Cup win Sunday in Rybinsk, Russia.

Randall's family sent a video toasting the accomplishment from her hometown of Anchorage, Alaska. Aunt Betsy, who competed in the 1980 Lake Placid Olympics, was among those celebrating the historic moment.
