Sorry for the lack of updates at such a crucial time of the season.  This past week was Birkie week and we have been away from internet service and totally absorbed in all the wonderful Birkie festivities.  Most of the CXC team headed to Hayward, WI, immediately after the Madison Winter Festival.  I stopped in [...]

Last weekend was the Madison Winter Festival SuperTour.  This event takes place around the Wisconsin Capitol building and is always cool no matter what kind of weather or snow conditions are thrown at us.  Here are some photos from the day courtesy of Renee Callaway.  There are lots more at www.winter-fest.com if you click on [...]

The U23 World Championships started today and Simi Hamilton of the USA and SVSEF just took 1st place in the sprint qualification round.  On the Women’s side, USA’s Ida Sargent qualified 4th.  These races are being held in Hinterzarten, Germany.  Good Luck to Simi and the rest of our U23 athletes that made the heats [...]

After 24 hours of rain, calling the trails at Theadore Wirth Park sloppy was an understatement.  Skiers were pulling out there super course grinds and coaches were blistered and sticky from klister. CXC Team Vertical Limit’s Brian Gregg received his first ever individual SuperTour victory in the Men’s 15K Classic race. Gregg summarizes the Men’s race here: [...]
