After four years as High Performance Director with Biathlon Canada, Chris Lindsay will be leaving the organization to take over as High Performance Advisor to summer sports at Own the Podium.
Starting with a freestyle sprint in Gatineau, Quebec and concluding with 10 and 15 k classic pursuits in Canmore, Alberta the eight-stage Ski Tour Canada 2016 will take place over the course of the first 12 days of March.

After the 2002 Salt Lake City bidding scandal, IOC members are not allowed to visit candidate cities during Olympic bidding. Instead, they have to rely on promotional materials, presentations, an Evaluation Commission report, and bid committee presentation rooms for information. Here's what that looks like.
With a strong presentation to IOC members, confident answers to nagging questions, and in-person testimony from none other than the Prime Minister, Almaty made up some of the gap to Beijing in the race for 2022 Winter Olympic hosting rights. There's still hope to award medals in the land of Vladimir Smirnov. Voting is in late July.

The IOC Executive Board meets in Lausanne this week, and then all IOC members will have the chance to hear from the organizing committees of the Almaty and Beijing bids for the 2022 Winter Games. Zina Kocher did not make Biathlon Canada's national team criteria this season, but successfully appealed under an injury/illness provision to regain her Athlete Assistance Program funding through Sport Canada. She believes a national team nomination should follow. Her federation does not.
The USST recently wrapped up its 2015 spring training camp in Park City, Utah. Although the camp was moved from Bend and Mt. Bachelor, Ore. due to lack of snow, it was deemed a success by USST Head Coach Chris Grover.

An East Coast native but no stranger to Alaska, Nick Crawford will head take over the University of Alaska Fairbanks nordic and cross-country running teams in July following the departure of Scott Jerome, who was put on administrative leave in January.
Nathan Smith, Rosanna Crawford, Brendan Green, and Megan Heinicke headline the "A" team, while eight athletes were picked for the "B" team.

It started with the renovation of a biathlon range last year. Now the Bridger Biathlon Club in Bozeman, Mont., is pushing to purchase both Bohart and Crosscut ranches within the next three years and plans to launch a $10 million dollar fundraising campaign to do so.
