The Norwegian women dominated the World Cup opener Nov 20-21, and the Norwegian men want revenge on the Swedes. However, will likely have to achieve the task without reigning World Champion Petter Northug in the Kuusamo (FIN) mini-tour.

Russian Men, Norwegian Women Dominate at Beito

The Canadians might have coined the term “own the podium” for the 2010 Olympics, but at the FIS season opener at Beitostølen (NOR) Friday, the Russian men dominated. In the men’s 15K skate, the Russians occupied five of the top seven spots, including the whole podium.
