Changes in This Weekend's Continental Cup Races

FasterSkierDecember 9, 2002

There have been some changes made to the schedule and location of the Dec 14,15th Subaru Continental Cup hosted by the Black Jack Ski Club Rossland, BC.  These changes are being made due to lack of snow at the original trail site.

1) Saturday's Free Technique races have been changed from Mass start to Individual start races of the same distance.  The races are being held at the Paulson Ski Trails, 28 km North of Rossland on Hwy 3b. Use the Mud Lake access. Note there are limited temporary facilities at the location.

2) A decision on Sunday's Classic Sprints will be made on Wednesday.  If there is sufficient snow at the Black Jack trails, they will proceed as scheduled. If there is insufficient snow, the races will be changed to 5 and 10km, individual classic races at the Paulson Trail site.  An official announcement will be made on the CCC website on Wednesday.

It is possible the entry deadline will be adjusted to allow racers to enter the 5 and 10km events if the race schedule is changed.
