A couple weeks ago Team TorbjornSport was featured in an article
on FasterSkier. Many of the TBS members are gearing up for the Birkie and

Women
Sarah Peters age group 20-29, Canada – last year overall women’s winner
of the Canadian Keskinada 50K World loppet race! At this point it looks like
last year's Birkie winner and also TBS member Jeannie Wall will not participate.
Men
Our men's group is large and consists of some very good age group skier including:
Erik Stange, age group 25-29.
Jim Didomenico, age 35-39. 82nd overall last year. Don’t challenge
this guy on a guitar, he's a famous
rocker from the group The Underwater people
Kent Murdoch age 40-44 – this guy can sprint
Jeff Tumbleson age 40-44
Don Pollari age 40-44 – top 50 a few years ago
Dave Knoop age 45-49
Jim Mullen age 45-49
Mark Nienstaedt – 41st overall in The Noquemanon 55 K skate in January
Don Camp age 50-54 doing his 15th Birkie
Gordon Faulkner age 55-59 – this guy can really sprint – was a member
of the US Track Team in the Mexico Olympics in 1964
Other members
Some of the team member are going toAnchorage for Masters National and will
not participate. A few other are getting in their late entries while other are
describing themselves as hard working skier that will “ski their heart
out” without winning.
Jeff Reed age 30-39 Korteloppet, Randy Beckner age 50-54, Erik Heiligenstein
labeling himself as “the official SOLDA Wax technician for family and
friends" usually waxing 10 pairs of skis with SOLDA the evening before
the race.
The Wax
Several Team TBS members are staying close to the trail and will test wax from
Wednesday morning. We are posting wax suggestion and updates on www.torbjornsport.com
daily. At the time of writing this – Monday evening – it looks like it
will be cold on race day.
Wax suggestion based upon this information: SOLDA S-30 over F-15 Blue or S-20
Other possibilities: SOLDA HPO5 over F-15 Blue, S-30 or F-31 Blue.
