TorbjornSport Taking Orders For 2003 World Championship Videos

FasterSkierMarch 11, 2003

February was a busy month for us. Lots of great racing around the country, and even better results by the Americans at the World Championships! We were very excited to bring you coverage of Kris, Carl, and Johnny, and the whole US Team. On-the scene reports from John Aalberg, Andy Newell and others made it a very memorable event for all of us.

The one question everyone was asking us was, How can I see these races?!

We are happy to report that one of FasterSkier.coms sponsors, TorbjornSport, is now taking orders for race videos from the 2003 World Championships! And best of all, a portion of the proceeds will be given to FasterSkier to help us continue to bring you the best in cross country skiing. So help support FasterSkier and order now! See the message from TorbjornSport below for more info.

2003 Nordic World Ski Championships Videos

The 2003 Nordic World Ski Championships in Val Di Fiemme, Italy just finished less than one week ago. Videos will be available from TorbjornSport within the next two weeks. This is a special one time offer, and availability will be limited to orders received within the next two weeks.

These World Ski Championships proved to be one of the most successful for the US Cross-Country Ski Team ever, with Carl Swenson and Kris Freeman both placing top 5. These Championships also included for the first time ever the exiting new pursuit format (or Skiathlon), where the skiers change equipment in pit stops between the two continuous race formats. This is an opportunity to learn the most recent technique from the best in the world. The commentary is not in English, but all text and results are in English.

The following competitions will be made available. It also needs to be clear that these are 8 separate tapes, not one video:

50 km individual start – free technique (Carl Swenson 5th place)

15 km individual start – classical technique (Kris Freeman 4th place)
