FasterSkier On-Snow Camp December 4-7

FasterSkierOctober 30, 2003

FasterSkier December 4-7, 2003 On-Snow Camp in Park City and Soldier Hollow

How sure are we about snow? Well, we can't guarantee snow at Soldier Hollow,
but they have a state of the art snow making system and should be ready to go
in early December. We have four other possible ski locations; all are within
a 5-25 minute drive. We have skied at several other areas within a short drive
from Park City on good snow from November every year since 1984. Yes, we can
promise you that you will ski!

Coaching Staff
The main Coaching staff will be Torbjorn Karlsen and John Aalberg, former Olympic
coaches or athletes, and long-time coaches for skiers of all ages and ability

We believe that we can help anyone improve technique and training routines.
Early season technique and training improvement will set the tone for winter
racing success. In addition to the camp, there is also an opportunity to race
the local citizen race on Saturday the 6th at Soldier Hollow.

General Itinerary
The morning sessions will go from roughly 9.00 – 11.00 and the PM session
from 3.00 – 4.30. The sessions will focus on technique training, but also
include examples of intensity/interval training on skis.

The Race on Saturday morning is a classical technique race. We will use this
race as a "race preparation" day where we focus on doing everything
right regarding: waxing the night before, nutrition, warm-up, race strategy,
fluid replacement and post race routines. This will be a great opportunity even
for those who want to skip the race and just focus on the preparation. The PM
session on Saturday will be normal technique training.

Lectures will be held right after Lunch or in the evening – we will cover
training, technique (using video) and waxing.

On Sunday we start at 8 AM and the PM session will be from 1-2.30 PM.

The regular cost for the 4-day camp is $475. The early registration fee by November
15th is $440. This includes coaching, track fees, lectures, and weight room
fees, as well as a Friday night dinner. There is also a 3 day option at the
camp for those who can’t make the 4 day stay. Cost for this is $375.

You might not get a chance like this again. Give yourself an early Christmas
present of a camp that can take you to the next level!
