The Bogus Basin Nordic Program in Boise, ID is looking to fill two positions: Please help spread the news to anyone you think may be interested!

BOGUS BASIN NORDIC HEAD COACH / PROGRAM DIRECTOR

The Bogus Basin Nordic Team is a year-round, competitive cross-country ski program focused on helping its members to achieve their athletic goals, whether those goals are having fun with friends or success at the World-Cup level.

The Bogus Basin Nordic Head Coach and Program Director is the top individual within the Nordic Team structure. As such they are responsible for the oversight and management of the program as a whole, as well as progress toward established program goals.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

o Provide the vision and direction needed to further establish Bogus Basin Nordic as one of the top programs of its kind in the nation.
o Function as Head Coach.
o Development and Oversight of youth programming.
o Oversight of Development Team Program.
o Oversight of Competition Development Team Program
o Direct Management of Competition Team Program
0 Construction of monthly Training Schedules and Annual Training Plans for Competition Team.
o Oversight of and communication with coaching staff.
o Hiring
o Year-end staff evaluations
o Communication with Club Administration.
o Program Budget Development
o Oversight of monthly income and expense information in relation to established budget.
o Fundraising development and participation
o Communication with athletes and parents.
o Goal Setting.
o Performance / Progress toward goals review.
o Newsletter Production.
o Development of Annual Team Handbook.
o Development of annual program fee structure and team layout.
o Recruitment and team development.
o Oversee events such as JN Qualifiers and the Idaho Rollerski Series.
o Travel with the team to several major events (US National Championships, Junior National Championships, etc.) throughout the course of the season.

This position is year-round, and begins on or before Sep 1st 2004.

Pay for this job is negotiable and will be based on previous experience in Nordic Sport and Management. Benefits to be announced

Pay Range $25,000-$32,000

BOGUS BASIN NORDIC ASST. HEAD COACH

The Bogus Basin Nordic Team is a year-round, competitive cross-country ski program focused on helping its members to achieve their athletic goals, whether those goals are having fun with friends or success at the World-Cup level.

The Bogus Basin Nordic Assistant Head Coach will be second-in-command within the Nordic Team Structure.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

o Assist the Head Coach / Program Director with all coaching and administrative aspects of the program.
o Function as Assistant Head Coach.
o Help with Development and Oversight of youth programming.
o Assist with schedule, and training plan development for Competition Team.
o Assist with day to day coaching of Comp Team.
o Occasional coaching with Comp Devo and Development Teams
o Assist with oversight of and communication with coaching staff.
o Communication with Club Administration.
o Observe Program Budget Development
o Fundraising development and participation
o Communication with athletes and parents.
o Goal Setting.
o Performance / Progress toward goals review.
o Assist with Newsletter Production.
o Assist with development of Annual Team Handbook.
o Assist with recruitment and team development.
o Aid in organization and direction of events such as JN Qualifiers and the Idaho Rollerski Series.
o Travel with the team to several major events (US National Championships, Junior National Championships, etc.) throughout the course of the season.

This position is part-time from Sep. 1st ? Nov. 15th, then full time until April 15th. The possibility for part time summer work (June-Aug) paid on an hourly basis also exists.

Pay for this job is negotiable and will be based on previous experience in Nordic Sport and Management. Benefits to be announced.

Pay Range $9,000 – $12,000
