NENSA hosted or sanctioned over 80 educational, recreational, and competitive events last year at venues across the Northeast. NENSA sponsors and directs races, workshops, athlete camps, roller ski races, recreational events, coaches clinics, hikes, and trips abroad throughout the 12-month calendar.
NENSA is recognized by the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Association (USSA) as the 501 (c) (3) entity responsible for hosting, directing, and sanctioning the wide range of activities that take place year-round in cross-country skiing in New England. In 2003 — 2004, NENSA had well over 3000 individual members of all ages, among them past and present Olympians, future hopefuls, and recreational skiers.
