Axel Teichmann will miss the next two World Cup races in Drammen and Oslo. The overall World Cup leader is still suffering from a cold. “Even though Axel picked up training again, it would be to early to start in a World Cup race, in particular over 50k in Oslo”, says German Coach Jochen Behle. “We hope that he will be back for the World Cup final in Falun and can score points for winning the overall World Cup.”

Teichman’s teammate Andreas Schlütter will also not start in the classic sprint in Drammen. But he is a long distance specialist and will certainly start over 50k race in Oslo.

Also Germany’s Renè Sommerfeldt is not going to start in Norway. It is planed that he races the German National Campionships in Goldlauter (10th — 13th March). “We did not consider Rene for the classic races in Norway from the beginning. ” says German coach Jochen Behle.
