Turbulence In Sweden: Fredriksson Critical To Braaten

The Fredriksson brothers are considering leaving the Swedish national team unless the camp schedule is changed.

Mathias Fredriksson is critical to national team head coach Inge Braaten’s program for the upcoming season. Braaten has together with assistant coach Thomas Alsagaard proposed a camp schedule to the skiers. Fredriksson was not happy with what he was presented.

– I don’t agree with Braaten concerning the camp schedule and overall agenda. I don’t feel that the rhythm and the periodization suit me. Ideally I want to be a part of the national team, but I will choose an alternative solution if this is what it will be like, says Fredriksson to Ostersundsposten http://op.se/parser.php?level1=3&level2=54&id=661748

Mathias doesn’t believe in the altitude training schedule proposed by the coaching staff, since this winter’s championship isn’t an altitude event, but in Sapporo, Japan. He will discuss this further with Braaten.
