span style=”font-size:85%;”The final week of racing was a big one up in Fairbanks, AK. The races were held at night and the men always competed after the ladies so I don’t have many pictures. The week started poorly. Leaving the gate at the start of the 10km classic race the starting wand hit my pole and snapped it. I tried to relax and race hard once I got a new pole a few hundred meters down the trail, but the race was a struggle. I was afraid that is would be a long week. The week turned around the next day with the Team Sprint. Matt and I teamed up and won our semi-final and finished 6th in the Final. CXC had two podiums in the team sprint too. I had a great skate portion of the pursuit race making up a lot of time that I lost in the classic by skiing the second fastest skate time of the day. In the final event the 50km classic race I skied a solid race and was happy to finish in the top 20 in 18th. I feel that it has been a great season and I am looking forward to taking some time off from cross country skiing to enjoy some of my other favorite activities./span pspan style=”font-size:85%;”I apologize for the poor pictures from US Nationals, It was pretty dark when the races finished./span/p p align=”center”a onblur=”try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}” href=”http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_M9ps8F85nS0/SeGYYvyUqII/AAAAAAAAAKQ/crObMjnARM8/s1600-h/senior+nationals+009.JPG”img style=”margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 300px; height: 400px;” src=”http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_M9ps8F85nS0/SeGYYvyUqII/AAAAAAAAAKQ/crObMjnARM8/s400/senior+nationals+009.JPG” alt=”” id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5323703785440454786″ border=”0″ //aspan style=”font-size:85%;”Maria and Caitlin took 2nd in the Team Sprint/span/p p align=”center”a onblur=”try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}” href=”http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_M9ps8F85nS0/SeGYY0nIVMI/AAAAAAAAAKY/u8GMTevLGsc/s1600-h/senior+nationals+005.JPG”img style=”margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;” src=”http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_M9ps8F85nS0/SeGYY0nIVMI/AAAAAAAAAKY/u8GMTevLGsc/s400/senior+nationals+005.JPG” alt=”” id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5323703786735686850″ border=”0″ //aspan style=”font-size:85%;”Women’s Team Sprint Podium/span/p p align=”center”a onblur=”try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}” href=”http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_M9ps8F85nS0/SeGYYx1ugLI/AAAAAAAAAKg/xf_nQHCmRj8/s1600-h/senior+nationals+013.JPG”img style=”margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px;” src=”http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_M9ps8F85nS0/SeGYYx1ugLI/AAAAAAAAAKg/xf_nQHCmRj8/s400/senior+nationals+013.JPG” alt=”” id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5323703785991602354″ border=”0″ //aspan style=”font-size:85%;”Men’s Team Sprint Podium/span/p p align=”center”a onblur=”try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}” href=”http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_M9ps8F85nS0/SeGYZNfX84I/AAAAAAAAAKo/FA2I063xbd8/s1600-h/waxing.jpg”img style=”margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 300px; height: 400px;” src=”http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_M9ps8F85nS0/SeGYZNfX84I/AAAAAAAAAKo/FA2I063xbd8/s400/waxing.jpg” alt=”” id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5323703793414042498″ border=”0″ //aspan style=”font-size:85%;”Prepping skis for the week (Kuzzy Photo).
