I’m excited to say that Mr. Roger Weston has come aboard for this summer. If the name sounds familiar it should! Roger has been involved in youth skiing for over 30 years. He was the head coach at Fairport High School for 25 years. He has two children on of which (Tim) was NY State Champion as well as a skier at Middlebury College and now a coach himself at Green Mountain Valley School in Vermont. Roger was also the recipient of the USST Russell Wilder Award given to U.S adults for working with youth skiers, and in 1985 Roger was named USST domestic coach of the year. Roger has coached at 5 NCAA Championships, 8 Senior Nationals, and has been on 15 Junior Olympic Trips. Roger even coached current USST Nordic Director John Farra, USST Head Coach Chris Grover and USST Coach Matt Whitcomb. As you can see Roger has a ton of experience and knowledge. I look forward to the new ideas and energy that he will bring to the program this summer!div class=”blogger-post-footer”img width=’1′ height=’1′ src=’https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/2153137138194667387-8180941766297251645?l=rochesternordicracing.blogspot.com’ alt=” //div
