Recovery

Today was supposed to be a recovery day, but I’m not sure it counts because I had so much going on. I’m looking forward to New Zealand where there is nothing to do but eat, sleep, and ski. I started early this morning with an hour of hitting tennis balls on the ball machine with my strength coach Alex Moore. After I went for a fun mountain bike ride with my friend from Aspen and U.S. Ski Team alpine skier Wiley Maple.

Then this afternoon we went to the Canyons to play disc golf.

In the picture above, from left to right: my sister Maggie Hoffman, her boyfriend Nick Blatz, Graham  Watanabe, and Nolan Kasper throwing (if you look closely you can see his disc.)

One of Nolan’s discs came perilously close to this hornet’s nest.

This evening we had a great make-it-yourself sushi dinner party.

After dinner we did cupcakes. We all helped blow out the candle, just because.
