National Week Foliage

FasterSkierOctober 7, 2012
Here is a picture to sum up the week and mood of the GMVS team for the past week.  Our new mascot, “Tiroler,” pronounced, Tirol–E, is keeping the stoke up!  We had a solid week — the recipe for the week included a Nationals Simulation: Classic Sprint Monday, 10/15km skate on Wednesday and a 5/10km Friday.
Friday we had awesome weather and perhaps our peak foliage.  Here the group poses for a photo with our Italian guest Manuela Eberhoefer.  Thanks to Louisa and Peter Moore for helping with timing and traffic safety this week.

Maddy going for it!
To wrap up the week we had a dual skate / run over distance.  Maddy, Ian and I got to ski up the west side of Rochester Gap and explore some new terrain.

What is this?

We’ve also been scouting out terrain for early season skiing at the base of Inverness — with forecasts for freezing temps tonight it’s easy to get excited for winter around here!
