PR’s at State Meet

Sverre CaldwellOctober 27, 2012

This morning our girls running team had their State meet in Thetford. This is an annual event for Thetford, they have a tough 5 km loop and they do an excellent job running races. Recently we have had to deal with rainy days for the race, but today the conditions were very nice. A BIG Thank You to Thetford and all of their volunteers!

Most teams have 10-30 girls and pick their best 7 for State meet. We only had six, but they were up for the challenge and every one of them set a new PR for the course.

Here Tegan is followed closely by Chloe Levins at 2.2 kms.

Kate started slow and then picked people off and had an excellent race.

Pip battles it out near 3km.

Tess gets cheered on by Maryanne Levins.

We get put in the large school division (D1). Here is the D1 race winner Taylor Spillane looking strong and flying up the last hill. Congratulations to Taylor and the CVU team for being overall champions. They will be heading to New Englands looking to defend their title.

Katharine had a great race and finished 9th.

Happy critters, Tegan, Kate and Tess.

Mackenzie with her aunt and grandmother…..

…and some goodies!

Papa Evarts with Pip and ‘kenzie.

Pip, Chloe and Mackenzie.

Thanks to the Kerin family for hosting us for the night and some great meals. We even dropped back to their house after the race to feed the goats and take showers.
