New World Cup Season Underway For APU Nordic Skiers

The World Cup Nordic Season begins in Ruka, Finland in just two weeks. Alaska Pacific University and U.S. Ski team members Kikkan Randall, Sadie Bjornsen and Erik Bjornsen head to Finland this weekend to begin preparations. In addition, Reese Hanneman (APU skier from Fairbanks) earned Period 1 World Cup start rights with his Overall Supertour win from last season and he will be joining Erik, Sadie and Kikkan for the first few weeks of World Cup racing.

Olympian Holly Brooks begins her new quest for competing in the FIS Marathon Cup at the beginning of December in Italy, and the rest of the APU team begins their season domestically in West Yellowstone, MT on November 28th.
