FIS Nordic Ski World Championships Seefeld, Austria Women’s 30 k Freestyle

Saturday closed out the racing for the women with the 30-kilometer freestyle at the 2019 World Championships in Seefeld, Austria.

Norway’s Therese Johaug, already the winner of the skiathlon and 10 k classic at these championships, secured her third gold in a time of 1:14:26.2 hours. Her teammate Ingvild Flugstad Østberg placed second (+36.8). Sweden’s nineteen-year-old Frida Karlsson took third (+44.0).

Jessie Diggins for the U.S. was 21 seconds from the podium after skiing to fourth (+1:05.9). Also for the U.S., Sadie Bjornsen was 15th (+4:42.9), Rosie Brennan (16th (+5:21.0), and Caitlin Patterson 33rd (+8:49.4).

Canada’s Katherine Stewart-Jones placed 28th (+8:17.9),  Emily Nishikawa 39th (+10.11.5), Dahria Beatty 41st (+11:34.5), and Cendrine Browne 46th (+14.50.0).
