The New England Nordic Ski Association (NENSA) is pleased to announce Patrick Cote of Oakland, Maine as its new Executive Director. Pat is a graduate of Dartmouth College, a former Dartmouth Ski Team captain, and has served as NENSA’s Program Director since 2001. Prior to joining NENSA’s staff, Patrick was a teacher and coach at Gould Academy in Bethel, Maine. Pat will replace Max Cobb, who is moving on to a full-time position with US Biathlon Association.
As Program Director, Patrick most enjoyed the relationships developed with NENSA's members. “I am excited to take on this new role with NENSA. The opportunity to continue the good work of NENSA while taking on a new level of responsibility for the organization’s well-being is a challenge that will take a lot of hard work and collaboration with many people. It is a time of great potential growth for NENSA with two new program directors to be hired soon, the new office manager position to be shared with USBA and a high-level of energy around the sport of xc skiing here in New England.â€
“In his past five years as Program Director for NENSA, Pat has contributed immensely to the organization, while also becoming more and more knowledgeable about all aspects of NENSA and Nordic Skiing in New England and the U.S.,” adds NENSA Board President Judy Geer. “We are excited to be moving forward with Pat at the helm, and with a new staffing structure designed to help us better serve the whole spectrum of nordic skiers in New England, from entry level to our elite athletes.”
