Photos from yesterday's opening to the Tour de Ski in Oberhof, Germany, where racers faced warm, wet, and slushy conditions in the prologue to the Tour, which consisted of a 3 k for the women and a 4.5 k for the men.
The US Ski Team unveiled its 2014 Olympic uniforms for nordic and nordic combined on Saturday at the 2014 U.S. Olympic Nordic Combined Trials in Park City, Utah. FS got an exclusive sneak peak. "I am really excited to be racing in the stars and stripes in Sochi," Kikkan Randall says. "The American team looks to really be in the mix for the first time in 40 years and we want to be noticed!”

Extraordinary performances are becoming ordinary for the North American contingent this year as new stars emerge, historic results accumulate, and expectations continue to grow. FasterSkier was on site in Davos, Switzerland, where five USST members raced to the top 30 in Saturday's distance races and six made the heats in Sunday's sprints.
With a dramatic come from behind win in the 4 x 7.5 k relay in Annecy, France, the Russian men's team established themselves as the team to beat on home snow when the Olympics come to Sochi in under two months. The quartet of Ivan Tcherezov, Alexander Loginov, Evgeniy Garanichev, and Anton Shipulin trailed until the final leg, before tacking down Germany and winning a sprint to the line.
