268 trail runners and off season Nordic Skiers turned out on a hot sunny summer morning for the annual Elephant’s Perch Backcountry Run(10 miles/16.5 miles), north of Ketchum. Rossignol recalls top-of-the-line Xium ski boots

Rossignol has recalled some Xium and X-11 ski boots sold from December 2007 to June 2009, due to a potentially hazardous defect.  The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, in cooperation with Rossignol, announced a voluntary recall of the boots.  The recall effects nearly 3,000 pairs of boots in the US and 1,000 in Canada.
