With worming temperatures the sprint course was extremely fast on Saturday. The 1 Kilometer course consisted of two flat sections and two rather steep hills. After a disappointing first two races for the American team, the guys finally put together a great team effort in Saturday's sprint. Mona-Lisa Malvalehto won the fifteen minute race by a whopping 26 seconds over Tuesday's 15K Skate winner Ekaterina Vorotsova of Russia. The U.S. Ski team named the World Junior Championships team at the US National banquet in Rumford, Maine on Thursday night.
