MADSHUS Zero Classic IntelliGrip, CIG-Skis

Discover an entirely new skiing experience in more than just a “Hairy” situation!

Traditional no-wax patterned skis are designed for a broad range of temperatures, and promote the sport of Cross Country skiing as a fun and maintenance free sport. They have been found to be most successful in warmer temperatures from -6C and warmer.

Here at MADSHUS we have seen many different solutions to this over our 103 years in this business. Our history allows us to remember or look back at test results for many different ideas or products that have been designed, encountered or used.

Many wax technicians have resorted to an old technique made famous in the 1980 Olympics in Lake Placid called “Hairies” for those difficult wax days – wet, falling snow and changing snow temperatures. However this has been a bit of a mystery as to when it really works and for how long.

While MADSHUS can look back at history we are always looking forward in design and application. This is where we have now designed ski models featuring MADSHUS Zero Classic IntelliGrip (Zero).

MADSHUS Zero CIG skis feature an inserted base material in the grip area of a classic ski. This material is then factory prepared with special sanding techniques which provide grip on snow and slush without the use of wax, while taking some of the mystery out of the equation.

In the race world they have become known as MADSHUS ZERO’s, as the World Cup wax technicians found them to be an advantage over waxed skis, just as they did back in the 1980 Olympics. It was only when we tested them where they were thought not to work, that we discovered their versatility. To everyone’s surprise, they worked in all conditions and have become a true advantage over many wax and waxless products out there.

MADSHUS Zero CIG skis deliver great kick and a more enjoyable skiing experience in a wide range of conditions, and holding true to their originally intended application of when waxing is tricky.

They are available in 5 different models:

  • Nanosonic Zero CIG, Racer level
  • Terrasonic and Metis W Zero CIG, Race Performance level
  • Birkebeiner Zero CIG, Race Performance level
  • Nanosonic Junior Zero CIG, Junior race level

MADSHUS Zero CIG skis are ready to use right from your ski shop, so eliminate the mystery of more than just a Hairy situation and get out and ski!

hey FS. not a big deal but sometimes its hard to tell what is a product review and what is paid advertising particularly when the ads appear in your news column.

just for the sake of clarity – i think it would be helpful for readers to know exactly which is which.

    just a friendly suggestion.

otherwise, i think the quality of reporting and writing over the past several years has improved dramatically. keep up the good work.

Aside from having a company’s name in the title, all the paid articles are tagged on the top and bottom of the page as sponsor news.
