New Zealand Day Off

Noah HoffmanSeptember 4, 2012

I had a full day off in New Zealand today. Of course, this was the nicest day we’ve had yet.

I hope tomorrow is just as good.

By all reports, the skiing was very good today. Kris Freeman decided to train today because it was such a nice day. I just relaxed all morning.

In the afternoon I went to the nearest town, Wanaka (about 30 minutes away) with the Canadian team.

They lifted weights, and I sat in the sun reading The Atlantic. Then we walked around town a bit.

Above are Ivan Babikov (left) and Len Valjas.

We stayed in town to go to dinner at a good pizza place. It was a fun evening and good to get off “the rock” for a bit.
