Here are the results of my very amateur attempts at photographing the beautiful colors. After a good ski this morning that included many laps of the sprint course, I’m [...]

Biathlon World Cup action started up again today (well, the individual races anyway; there were relays the last two days).  The results look a bit topsy-turvy, with a fair number of big names having a tough day at the office.  Looks like several of the North Americans had some issues in the range. Like last time a look at the performance of skiers from different nations in this year’s TdS and last year’s.  As always, click through for full versions, as these are somewhat large: Again, apologies if your favorite country isn’t shown. Yesterday’s distance races here in Rumford were an 11-lap 30k for the guys, and a 7-lap 20k for us.  I have to admit, after watching and cheering for the end of the boys race (you know, just the last 4 laps), I wasn’t feeling too pumped for my own 7 laps.   But in the [...]

We had the 5/10 km skate for the Juniors on Thursday. The competition was tough and everyone was going for it. Paddy gets our "skier of the day" award as he skied himself onto the USST J1 trip with a great race.br /This race was the last of the 3 quali...
