FasterSkier’s Nat Herz captured some of Simi Hamilton, Ida Sargent and other top American’s action during the sprint heats at the U23 World Championship earlier today.
Tomas Northug won the men’s World Junior freestyle sprint yesterday. As everyone knows, his older brother Petter is considered the best all-around skier in the world. There is also a third brother, Evan, who is still quite young. Nat Herz talked to John Northug, the father of the three boys, in Hinterzarten today.

I was not a Bill Koch League skier, so when I was first charged with supervising Craftsbury's BKL program this spring, I was at a bit of a loss for ideas. The Executive Board (EB) of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has approved the qualification system for the first Winter Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in Innsbruck in 2012.
