The 2006 CXC Coach’s Symposium brought a large group of coaches from around the Midwest as far away as Traverse City and Detroit, MI. Presque Isle, ME—The University of Maine at Presque Isle just completed the first round of elite Nordic athlete testing in cooperation with the Maine Winter Sports Center. The university has invested more than $5 million in its physical education, exercise physiology and health facilities during the past year. The Swedish national team is training on-snow in Meraker, Norway starting this past Sunday. There is enough snow in the Kirkeby mountain and the team has arranged for 10-kilometer of groomed tracks. The Executive Committee decided to seek broad stakeholder comment on the question of whether artificially-induced hypoxic conditions should be placed on the 2007 List of Prohibited Substances and Methods (List).
