This past season's SuperTour Sprint Champion Laura Valaas has recently announced that Anchorage, Alaska will be her new home. Valaas, of Wenachee, Washington, plans to join Kikkan Randall, Taz Manniz and the rest of the APUNSC team for the 2007/2008 season. The reorganization of the Swedish coaching staff is completed. Bengt Stattin was recently hired as the new men’s coach. Assistant men’s coach will be Lars Selin. Jocke Abrahamsson will coach the women’s team along with Magnus Ingesson. Per-Ã…ke YttergÃ¥rd is hired as new chief of cross country. He was prior to this the Nordic program director.
