Taylor Fletcher – Updates

So far the summer has been great! Our team has been very busy training both in Park City and Steamboat! Recently we had our first camp in Steamboat, where we had to jump in x-c suits. Things went pretty well, and I was happy with the level for our first jumps of the summer. We then came back to park city, and had our first sessions of the summer on the k90.  It was a nice start to be i [...]

The first camp of the year has come to an end. It was a good feeling to get the whole team together as well as some of the young junior that are starting to push some of the national team.     Our first camp was a lot of distance training, jumping and one very very hard time trial. We took our first jumps of the year in steamboat on the k68, and most of our se [...]

The month of May is coming to an end! So far it is been very fun, but also very challenging. I have been very busy with school, work, and most all training. So far, I have been racing every weekend for Cole sport all across Utah. I has been a great way to train for the summer and I will continue to do so as long as it works with my [...]

Today marks the one month mark of training. Training this year started off really relaxed as we did most of our spring training on our own. This year, I am mixing things up, and starting the season much differently. I am taking a much more relaxed approach to training and doing a lot more distance and easier intensity. I will be biking a lot, but also will be in the weight room working with [...]

Lahti, Finland marked the end of the season for Us Nordic Combined. It was a up and down year for some and a very positive year for others. For myself I can't say anything other than satisfied with my season. Even though my cross country wasn't where I was thinking it was going to be, I was able to get my jumping to a much better level. I was able to score points in a ver [...]

So I just got the word that I will be skiing in my first World Championships tomorrow. I am very excited to be able to take part in this historic event and venue. Holmenkollen is considered to be the birthplace of nordic competitions and to have the event here is fantastic.     I feel that I am in the be [...]

Hey There,So we have arrived in Oslo for the start of World Championships 2011. Everything is off to a good start here. Rooms are very nice and have a lot of room in them. The food is delicious and with many options and our hotel is not too far away from the hill! In these next couple days we will be very busy with Offical training [...]

Hey everyone. Sorry for the delay in updates, our whole team has been hard at work training for world championships! We are all now in Lillehammer, Norway for the last preperation for World Champs. It is very nice to have the whole team together. Johnny is at full strength, Bill is a new father, Bryan is having a career best season and T [...]

Hey everyone!I am now in Sun Valley, Idaho. I am up here for a training race before we leave for World Championships later this month. The Boulder mountain tour is a very challenging race. It is 32 kilometers with a net loss of 1700 ft from start to finish. What makes this race hard is it is challenging to get away from the pack and ski [...]

Quick update for everyone, I am now in Harrachov for the last competitions before we head home. The hill is a fun hill that is very low to the ground. It is sort of old but still is in good shape. We took our first jumps on it Tuesday and it has been too warm to jump the rest of the days due to the moisture in the air. The cross country course seems to be hard but I don't know if I have ski [...]

Today was the best result of the season so far. I know that I can do much much better but I will settle for points right now, Having two decent racing and some of my best jumping of the year, I feel like things are going up towards world championships. I was really happy with my jumping today as I was my longest jump on the hill in competition and I had some pretty tough wind as well. I kne [...]
