Last night I attended the Boston Ski and Snowboard Ball. It’s a USSA fund-raiser for the U.S. Ski Team. Andy Newell and Kris Freeman were there. I chatted with them briefly along with Luke Bodensteiner (former Nordic Director at USSA and now moved up to a higher position). There were a bunch of Olympic athletes there from Freestyle and Snowboarding as well as Lindsey Vonn who is 2 time overall World Cup champ in Alpine....

The New England Nordic Ski Association’s Janice Sibilia reports that the 2011 Junior Olympic Championships, to be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota, will feature a unique “Athlete’s Village,” modeled on the standard Olympic format. Cologna Injures Leg, Will Miss 6 Weeks

2009 overall World Cup Champion and Tour de Ski winner Dario Cologna injured his leg while training last Tuesday. Cologna, the first Swiss skier to ever win the Cross-Country Overall World Cup, suffered the injury while sprint training.
