The winter of 2013-2014 has been big for Morton Trails. Ski racers and recreationalists alike are getting out and experiencing vastly different natural landscapes and competitions through the lens of our ski trails. From the newly minted 5k race course at the Dublin School in New Hampshire – where New England Prep School Athletic Championships took place with great success in February – to the NCAA Tormondsen Family Race Course at Middlebury College’s Rikert Touring Center, our trails are being benefited from at the highest levels of the sport.

Given the new weather forecast, it is very likely that the track surface will be soft. With the snow event on Thursday day leading into the evening, expect softer conditions on race day. However, with the new snow, normal CH, LF and HF waxes will be the wax of choice. BW and Moly/Graphite waxes will not run well in these new snow conditions.

Kashi, BP and Citibank are all airing ads featuring skiers, and the suits they are wearing were made right here in St. Paul. “We started getting calls this summer from agencies looking to feature Nordic and Alpine skiers in their ad campaigns,” commented Director of Marketing Jessica Lutter. “The athletes needed specific custom suits for the different campaigns and we were happy to help.”
