Toko Textile Proof – Simply Outstanding Below is ALL of the text from ALL of the reviews fromhere. “This product was a good product, it made the wear fuzz on my winter coat disappear and appear new. I did 3 boots, one summer hat and my coat and snowboard with one can. It wasn’t very effective for the boots because it wasn’t overly thick. This product does not affect the color of the garment sprayed”...

Here are Toko’s recommendations for storage waxing of skis. First clean the skis well. This can be done with wax remover or by simply brushing the bases out well with a copper brush depending on how dirty they are. Then drip on a generous amount of NF or LF Red. Iron it in making sure that there is enough wax to provide a thick layer on the base and that the iron is hot enough to ensure a good bond between the wax and the base. This ironing procedure is normal, but sometimes a person rushes through storage waxing and the wax is not really heated outside of that it becomes liquid. The ski bases often times don't even become warm. This will result in air between the base and the ski and less protection.

Durable mesh back of hand, synthetic leather palm, back of hand over knuckles has an airprene strip which offers both support and protection. Terry cloth thumb for wiping sweat. This glove will breathe better than your winter ski gloves resulting in less blisters and cooler hands. Furthermore, these are extremely durable gloves that can also be put in the washer and dryer. MSRP $38. Find them at your favorite ski shop this spring.

Today was a fun day. It was only 19f overnight which is far warmer than it had been. Not too surprisingly though, although we could tell the snow was warmer, HF Blue/Red mix was our test HF wax, JetStream Blue wax our best JetStream, and covering JetStream Blue with HelX Red was the best. So, that is what we went with. Sometimes you can't rationalize the wax. The Blue was the fastest (especially in the high end speed).

Last night it was just a bit overcast which kept things from getting as clear and cold as it has been recently, but it was still 4f at the venue 2 hours before the start, so the snow was still cold. Although the conditions were slightly different (no hoarfrost that needed to be skied in for example), our wax tests (both kick and glide) showed that the same products that had been performing the past two days continued to.

Although I did a really poor job today on the photos, this was probably our most successful day ever for wax. The wax tip of HF Blue covered by a mix of JetStream Blue powder and XCold powder, both ironed in together was super for the women. For the men, it was the same except a good application of JetStream Blue Bloc on top was even better. It was -9f this morning and there was an inversion, but not as strong as yesterday. The snow stayed very cold and was faster that one would think considering the temperatures. We added in the XCold powder to the blue powder because it was faster. It hardens the JetStream Blue up and makes the skis really slippery on the climbs especially.

I'm very happy for Jennie Bender and Torin Koos who both won today. Jennie suffered for much of the year with both Lyme Disease and Mono and this is one of those "feel good" stories. Torin was DQed last year after winning this US Nationals race by maybe 300 meters, so this was also really nice for him to gain some redemption (my words, not his).

Function of Blue vs Black (DLC) Glide Waxes HF Blue vs HF Black (DLC) HF Blue is an outstanding cold wax. Due to its hardness and fluorine content, it is very fast in a broad range of cold conditions and durable and it minimizes the negative effects of a dirty track very well. This is our go-to wax in all colder conditions (straight or with XCold mixed in when it is cold and slow). The...

Toko: New Waxes and Backcountry Skin Waxing Demo

New Hot Waxes The new fluorine is called Tribloc. This is a spin-off of Dibloc where the molecule had two parts: hydrocarbon and fluorine. The Tribloc molecules have three parts: fluorine, hydrocarbon and fluorine. This enables us to get more fluorine in a molecule. Basically this ought to mean that our HF waxes will perform better in the red and yellow ranges than they have in the past. The performance of our blue waxes should...

Looking Foward I just got back from a product development trip (Coreteam meeting) in Switzerland. These were the best meetings that I have ever taken part of as part of this team.
