Kilometers for our Climate:

A Nordic Skiing Event for Skiers of All Ages and Experience Levels

The Mad River Valley Bill Koch League Program invites you to join us for a fun Nordic skiing event on Sunday, December 12 from 1 – 3:30 pm at Ole’s Cross Country Center in Warren. No experience is necessary and ski gear will be available for rental to young skiers at no charge and adult skiers at a nominal charge.

Skiers will have the opportunity to tally the kilometers they ski and to secure pledges per kilometer. The event supporter, TD Bank, will match participant pledges, with all monies raised going to support energy efficiency projects at Oles XC Center. The event will include a variety of activities for skiers of all ages and abilities: there will be measured courses for tallying kilometers, as well as relay races, bean bag activities, limbo, and much more. Dress as your favorite arctic animal, and add to the fun! Coaching will be available to help all skiers learn, have fun, and contribute some K’s for winter. Hot chocolate and donuts will also be provided.

This event is sponsored by the New England Nordic Ski Association and the Mad River Valley Bill Koch League, and is intended to welcome families into the sport of Nordic Skiing. There is no charge, although donations are accepted. Contact Kate Williams for kilometer pledge forms, with questions, and to RSVP: kate [at] northernforestcanoetrail [dot] org. Pre-registration requested so we can make sure we have enough donuts.
